Tuesday Tip: Reflective stripe and its importance

by | 6/10/2015

The reflective stripe used on our garments helps to protect and save lives. Retroreflection occurs when light rays are returned in the direction from which they came, this increases the visibility of the area and of the person using it. We use prismatic technology that ensures long distance visibility at dawn, dusk, in the work zone, on the road, at sea or in any environment where visibility is compromised, which makes our garments even safer.

Main features of the prismatic reflective stripe

Does not lose reflectivity in water – In exposure to water or rain, visibility remains unchanged, avoiding possible accidents;
Reflects in yellow – The white reflectance can easily be confused with the light from the headlight, the sidewalk, the reflective traffic cone, etc. Almost all the lights in the environment are white and the individual does not stand out in the environment. Yellow is easily caught by the eye and distinguishes the individual, that’s why yellow is used for traffic lights;
It reflects at least 2x more – The more reflective, the more visible;
Reflects from one end to the other – Area of visualization and distinction of the individual is much larger;
Lasts about 150 washes – There is no point in having a very good garment if the reflective stripe will not be seen within a short time after use;
Protected reflective stripe – Suffers much less with abrasion and guarantees durability.
