Warning: The Drag rescue device (DRD) is designed to rescue victims horizontally. It should not be used to lift the victim in lifting rescue operations.
Use
– Be aware of the victim’s physical condition and escape route;
– Open the DRD’s protective flap;
– Pull the DRD handle up to its maximum length;
– Rescue the victim safely.
Inspection
The DRD must be constantly inspected to ensure its correct use during rescue operations. To ensure the integrity of the device, check:
– Presence of cuts or perforations;
– Signs of cord wear (generated by abrasion);
– Loose fibers;
– Burning or discoloration;
– Torn seams.
If any of the above is found during inspection, the DRD should be discarded immediately.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Cleaning
– The drag rescue device should be washed separately from the other garments;
– It should be washed by hand, do not use a washing machine;
– Use mild detergent;
– Never dry clean;
– Dry at room temperature without contact with direct sunlight.
Disposal
Drag rescue devices that are not in usable condition should be destroyed and discarded to avoid misuse or improper use of the DRD. The rescue device should be cut into pieces and disposed of in an appropriate manner.
