Tuesday Tip: Conservation and preservation of your PPE

by | 27/01/2015

We know that the service life of a PPE depends mostly on its use and the way it is kept after use. With this in mind, we have separated some more tips for you to always keep your PPE in perfect condition of use.

After use, always keep your equipment protected from bad weather and chemical and/or inflammable products;
If your equipment is wet while performing any activity, dry it after use in a dry place in the shade;
Avoid using the components of your equipment (buckles, rings, etc) for other purposes, such as “hammering something” and similar things;
Request the right Hércules equipment for your work area. Cement and coastal areas tend to wear out equipment not suitable for that type of area easily – so contact your Hércules expert to find out which PPE is ideal for use;
Inspect your equipment weekly or if you perform activities that you think require more from your equipment;
After you suffer a fall, dispose of all the equipment used to save your life.
